Aberffraw to Rhosneigr Walk

6.8 miles (11 km)

This coastal walk runs from Aberffraw to Rhosneigr on the south western side of the Isle of Anglesey. The walk runs for just under 7 miles following a lovely section of the waymarked Anglesey Coast Path.
Starting at the village of Aberffraw, the route follows sandy estuary edges and open coastline where the Afon Ffraw meets the sea, with wide views across dunes and low cliffs.... The path then continues along a mix of grassy clifftops and quieter stretches of beach, passing areas of coastal grassland and rock pools. Seabirds are often seen along this section and there are frequent viewpoints looking out over Treath Mawr and the wider Irish Sea.
As the walk approaches Rhosneigr, the coastline becomes more open with long sandy bays and dunes backed by low headlands. The route finishes in the popular seaside village of Rhosneigr, known for its broad beaches and coastal setting, where there are places to find refreshments and public transport links for the return journey. You can also visit the pretty Llyn Maelog here.
