Bridgnorth to Ironbridge Railway Walk
9.1 miles (14.6 km)This walk or cycle follows the old railway line from Bridgnorth to Ironbridge. The route runs for about 9 miles, heading north along the surfaced path with the River Severn on your right hand side.
The route passes through a mixture of woodland and open countryside, with views across the Severn Valley as you make your way towards Ironbridge.... Along the way you pass the former railway stations at Coalport and Linley, with the route ending near the historic town of Ironbridge and its famous Iron Bridge over the River Severn.
The path is generally straightforward to follow and provides an easy way to explore the countryside between the two historic towns. In Ironbridge you can explore the riverside, historic buildings and the museums of the Ironbridge Gorge, while Bridgnorth has its castle, historic High Town and the Severn Valley Railway.
