Cemaes to Bull Bay Coastal Walk

6.2 miles (9.9 km)

This walk follows a section of the Anglesey Coast Path from Cemaes Bay to Bull Bay.
The route runs for about 6 miles passing Hell's Mouth and the Porth Wen Brickworks on the way.
Leaving Cemaes, the path follows the edge of the village and quickly joins open clifftop with wide coastal views north across the Irish Sea. The route passes close to Hell’s Mouth, a narrow rocky inlet where waves often surge into the steep-sided cove below.... Much of this section runs over grassy headlands and narrow coastal paths with short climbs and dips as it follows the natural shape of the coastline.
Beyond Hell’s Mouth the walk continues above rugged cliffs before descending towards the ruins of Porth Wen Brickworks, where old kilns, brick buildings and a disused harbour remain below the cliffs. The final part of the route climbs back onto higher ground and then gradually descends towards Bull Bay, ending close to the harbour and village. The paths are generally clear but can be uneven in places, especially near cliff edges and around the industrial remains at Porth Wen.
