Marlow to Maidenhead Walk
7.1 miles (11.5 km)This riverside walk follows a section of the Thames Path from Marlow to Maidenhead. The route runs for about 7 miles, following the waymarked path to Bourne End and Cookham before passing Boulter Lock and finishing on the river in Maidenhead.... The walk can be started from the public car park on the river just south of Marlow train station.
It's a particularly attractive stretch of the Thames, with peaceful riverside scenery, wooded sections and views across the surrounding Buckinghamshire countryside. There are also plenty of interesting features along the way, including the historic village of Cookham and the impressive Boulter Lock, making this a varied walk with a good mixture of natural and man-made sights.
At the finish in Maidenhead, you can explore the town centre and enjoy further walks along the Thames. The area also provides good opportunities for extending your walk or visiting nearby attractions, making this a useful route for exploring the river between two of the area's best-known Thames-side towns.
