Newtown Isle Of Wight Walks
This walk explores the area around the little village of Newtown on the Isle of Wight.
The National Trust run area includes the Newtown National Nature Reserve where there is a wide variety of wildlife to see. There's a beautiful harbour, flower-rich hay meadows, wildlife rich saltmarsh and ancient woodlands.
This circular walk explores the estuary and the village using part of the Isle of Wight Coast Path. Along the way there's country lanes, boardwalks, butterflies, red squirrels, bird life and super views across the water to the mainland.
You can also pay a visit to the noteworthy Newtown Old Town Hall. The hall is Grade II listed and dates back to 1699. It is open as a tourist attraction where you can find out all about the area's interesting history.

To continue your walking in the area head west to Yarmouth and pick up the Yarmouth to Freshwater Bay Walk. To the east there's miles of cycling and walking trails in Parkhurst Forest.
