The lake can be found to the west of the forest. There is a parking area close to the lake at the end of the road leading up from the woods.... From here you can pick up a walking trail and follow it to the lakeside. The beautiful lake is located in a remote spot on Crossterry mountain. You can climb above the lake for some wonderful views over the surrounding area.
To continue your walking in the area pick up the Esknamucky Waterfall Walk or the Killarney to Kenmare Old Road Walk.
