Kildale Waterfall Walk

This circular walk visits Old Meggison Waterfall on the River Leven near Kildale. It then heads up to Captain Cooks Monument for some fine views over the area.
The walk starts from Kildale rail station on the Esk Valley Line, which runs between Middlesbrough and Whitby via Nunthorpe.... From here it's a short walk along the Cleveland Way to the River Leven where you can enjoy a riverside walk to the waterfall. The route then climbs to the historic Captain Cook's Monument where you'll find an obelisk 60 ft (18 m) high in memory of the great British explorer. The route then heads east through the peaceful woodland trails on Coate Moor before turning south to head back to the railway station.
