Grantchester and Trumpington Meadows Walk
This circular walk explores Grantchester and Trumpington Meadows in Cambridgeshire.
The meadows are located a few miles south of Cambridge, on both sides of the River Cam between the two villages. The area includes some pleasant riverside paths, streams, fens, reedbeds, and grassland, and is known for its birdwatching opportunities. Visitors might spot kingfishers, herons, and various warblers, and an owl is a regular sight. The meadows are also grazed by cattle between April and October.
To continue your walking in the area head north to pick up the Cambridge Backs Walk and explore the famous university.
