Hertford Union Canal
Enjoy an easy, waterside walk or cycle along this canal in Tower Hamlets. It runs for about a mile, linking the Regent's Canal and the Lea Valley Walk. You'll pass a series of locks and bridges along the way. It runs alongside Victoria Park so there is scope for continuing your walk through the park or along the Regent's Canal.
The canal also visits the ,Olympic Park where you can pick up the Lea Navigation and the Limehouse Cut Canal.

Hertford Union Canal
Approaching the top lock. Looking west. The canal joins the Lee Navigation with the Regent's Canal, and is very useful for boaters making for the Lee from the main system. There are just three locks, quite close together.
Middle lock.
This is a cycle path, however it seems only an unlaiden bicycle of standard design can fit though the barrier. It seems non-standard bicycles and luggage is forbidden.

From Three Colt Bridge. The photograph is looking towards the Lee Navigation. Victoria Park is on the left, alongside the canal, and the new housing on the other side of the canal replaced old industrial premises and warehouses.
