National Cycle Route 125
3.6 miles (5.8 km)
This route follows the River Darent, connecting Temple Hill, Dartford railway station, the town centre, Central Park, and Brooklands Lake to the River Thames.
To establish a more direct path, the river was redirected through one of the tunnels in an existing twin-bore structure, while new bridges and crossings were introduced to bypass difficult junctions and heavy traffic. The Prince's Tunnel, which links Central Park to Brooklands Lake, offers a unique experience, featuring classical music played through speakers as visitors pass through.
The route links up with National Cycle Route 1 if you'd like to extend your cycle.
