Bagnor and Boxford Circular Walk
This circular walk explores the area around the Berkshire villages of Bagnor and Boxford.
The walk starts off from the parking area at the historic Donnington Castle. Here you can explore the grounds of the 14th century castle before heading west to Bagnor.
You then pick up the Lambourn Valley Way and follow the waymarked path west to Bagnor and Boxford with some fine views of the River Lambourn and the surrounding North Wessex Downs hills and countryside.
Look out for the noteworthy Watermill Theatre in Bagnor which is housed in a converted watermill with gardens beside the River Lambourn. There is also another picturesque watermill in Boxford - see photos below.
You can continue your walking in the lovely Snelsmore Common Country Park which lies just to the east of the route.
