Binham Priory Walk
This walk visits the fascinating ancient ruins of Binham Priory in Norfolk.
The ruined site dates back to 1091 when it was founded by one of William the Conqueror's nephews. There's also the 13th century priory church which includes a notable rood screen with medieval saints overpainted with Protestant texts.
After exploring the extensive monastic ruins the circular walk vists Binham Ford and the Main Street in the village. You can start and finish the walk at the car park at the priory. On the way there are some nice views of the surrounding countryside to enjoy.

Pubs/Cafes
In the village you could stop off for refreshments at the Chequers Inn. The traditional brick-and-flint village pub has a good menu and range of ales. There's also parking and a lovely large garden for warmer days. You can find them on Front Street at a postcode of NR21 0AL for your sat navs.
Dog Walking
You can enjoy a stroll with your dog around the ruins but not in the church please. They also need to be kept on leads in the ruins. The Chequers Inn mentioned above is also dog friendly.
