Brierley Forest Park
This circular walk takes you around the pretty Brierley Forest Park near Mansfield. At the park you will find Wildflower meadows, a sculpture trail and a visitor centre. Look out for foxes, owls, deer, meadow pipits and lapwings as you make your way through the park.
There's also bridleways and paths that are suitable for cycling in some parts of the park.

There's a good value cafe at the site with a good range of snacks and nice outdoor seating.
Dog Walking
The park and woodland are a great place for a dog walk. In fine weather you'll probably see plenty of other owners on your vist. The cafe mentioned above is also dog friendly.

Interesting miner sculptures at Brierley Forest Country Park. These figures stand near the Visitor Centre at Brierley Forest Country Park. The park is on the site of the former Sutton Colliery but which was called Brierley as many of the original miners came from Brierley in Staffordshire.
