Burythorpe Walks
This walk visits the village of Burythorpe, North Yorkshire. The pretty rural village is located just south of Malton and includes a noteworthy 19th century church.
This short circular walk takes you through the village and past the Grade II listed church with some fine views of the Yorkshire Wolds countryside.
To continue your walking in the area head west to visit the historic Kirkham Abbey. There's some lovely grounds, River Derwent views and fine gothic architecture to enjoy at the 12th century abbey site.

Pubs/Cafes
Head to the Bay Horse for some post walk refreshments. The traditional country pub is homely with farming paraphernalia, low lighting, multiple real fires, traditional furniture and a tiled floor. The menu is wide ranging and adventurous, using locally sourced ingredients and being reasonably priced. The pub is listed in Baines 1823 directory along with a reference to Francis Consitt who is stated to have died in Burythorpe in 1768 at the age of 150
