Canal Walk Chorley
Enjoy a waterside walk from Chorley to Adlington along a pleasant section of the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. It's about a 4 mile walk so perfect for an afternoon stroll.
You can pick up the canal just to the east of the town centre. Then follow it south through Cowling and Heath Charnock before finishing at the pretty Adlington marina.
The walk can be extended by continuing south toward Standish and Worthington Lakes, where there are three reservoirs and a nature reserve.
Heading north along the canal will take you towards Blackburn.
You could also continue your waterside walking by heading to Anglezarke Reservoir, just to the east of the canal.
