Further Information and Other Local Ideas

One nice idea is to head north and pick up the River Teign Walk. You could follow this riverside path east towards Shaldon on the coast and then visit the lovely Labrador Bay RSPB reserve.
The River Lemon Walk can be picked up just to the north of the park. The pleasant riverside trail will take you pass the National Trust's Bradley Manor which you can find on the western side of Newton Abbot, about a mile from the park. The medieval limestone manor house has an interesting history and some pleasant trails through the adjacent Bradley Woods.
