Edstone Aqueduct Walk
This circular walk visits the Edstone Aqueduct on the Stratford Upon Avon Canal in Warwickshire. The structure is notable as the longest cast iron aqueduct in England, measuring 475 feet (145 m). The Grade II listed Aqueduct dates to 1816 and is a popular place for a stroll with nice views over the surrounding countryside from the top.
This circular walk starts from the car park off Salters Lane just south of the Aqueduct. From here you can pick up the towpath heading north past the structure to Wootton Wawen. Here you can pick up a section of the Monarch's Way and follow it south along the River Alne to the village of Aston Cantlow. Follow trails east from here and they will take you to Newnham before returning to the canal just south of the car park.
