Kempston Mill River Walk
6.5 miles (10.5 km)
This circular walk explores the area around the settlements of Bromham, Stagsden and Kempston in Bedfordshire.
The walk starts from the public car park at Kempston Church End just to the west of the main town. From near here you can pick up a pleasant riverside path taking you along the River Great Ouse to the neighbouring village of Bromham. Here you can visit the nature reserve and the 18th century mill by the river. Along the way you'll also pass a series of picturesque weirs and the lovely area around Kempston Mill.
The route then returns to the car park on a section of the waymarked John Bunyan Trail. There's some fine views of the surrounding open countryside on this part of the walk.
