Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk visits Loch Morar from the village of Morar on the west coast of The Rough Bounds of Scotland. The loch is notable as the deepest freshwater body of water in the British Isles.
The walk starts off in the village and climbs to the Morar Cross where you can enjoy some wonderful views over the loch and the surrounding mountains. You can the follow a circular trail along the western side of the loch and the River Morar. You can continue your walking in the area by heading south to visit the Silver Sands Of Morar. Here you can enjoy explore a beautiful sandy beach and enjoy more glorious views across the River Morar to the Small Isles of Rum, Eigg, Muck and Canna.

The Roman Catholic church of Our Lady of Perpetual Succour & St Cumin in Morar, Scotland. This church lies on the banks of Loch Morar, which with a maximum depth of 310 m, is the deepest body of freshwater in the British Isles.
