Olchon Valley Walk
This circular walk takes you through the Olchon Valley in the Black Mountains.
You can start the walk from the valley car park and then pick up trails running along country lanes and the Olchon Brook. On the way you will pass waterfalls before climbing to the 640 metre high Black Hill where you can enjoy some splendid views to the surrounding mountains.

The Olchon Valley. The landscape here features grassy slopes, ridgelines, and deep valleys, which are typical of the Black Mountains, offering a sense of solitude and immersion in nature. Starting from the village of Longtown, the walk takes you into the heart of the Olchon Valley, where you'll encounter a network of footpaths leading through farmland and grazing meadows. Waterfall on Olchon Brook. The Olchon Brook that runs through the valley adds both to the scenic beauty and the overall sense of tranquillity. The terrain is moderately challenging with gentle ascents and well-maintained paths, making it accessible to most walkers while offering a rewarding experience of peaceful solitude and expansive views.
