Sallins Canal Walk
This walk takes you along a pleasant section of the Grand Canal in the town of Sallins in County Kildare.
The route takes you east along the canal to visit nearby Clondalkin. Here you can visit the lovely Corkagh Park where there's some fine footpaths, lakes and gardens.
Along the walk you'll pass pretty locks, old bridges and enjoy some great views of the surrounding countryside.
To continue your canal walking in the area head to neighbouring Naas where you can enjoy a stroll along the Naas Branch of the canal.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas
The Pollardstown Fen walk explores an ecologically important National Nature Reserve. It includes a fine boardwalk trail and can be found just west of Naas.
The Hill of Allen includes an interesting 19th century tower and an excellent viewpoint.
