Warnscale Bothy and Buttermere Infinity Pool Walk
This walk takes you to the Warnscale Bothy and Buttermere Infinity Pool near Buttermere Lake in the Lake District National Park.
The bothy is in a wonderful spot overlooking Butteremere Lake and the surrounding fells. Nearby is the Buttermere Infinity Pool, a delightful beauty spot with a crystal clear pool popular with wild swimmers.
There's a public parking area at the southern end of Buttermere Lake next to Gatesgarth Farm. From here you can follow footpaths south along the Warnscale Beck to the pool and the bothy. Along the way there are splendid views of the surrounding fells as you look back down the stunning Warnscale Valley. You'll also pass old quarry buildings and waterfalls as you make your way up to the two sites.
You can turn it into a longer circular walk by returning via Haystacks and Buttermere Fell to the west.
