Shustoke Reservoir
Enjoy an easy circular walk around this pretty reservoir in Coleshill, Warwickshire. A good footpath runs around the perimeter of the water, with woodland and wildfowers around the water's edge. The River Bourne also runs through the site. You can start your outing from the public car park at the south western end of the water, close to Shustoke village.
The Heart of England Way and the Warwickshire Centenary Way both pass the reservoir so you could pick up one of these long distance trails to extend your walk. Cyclists can reach the reservoir on the North Warwickshire Cycle Way.

Pubs/Cafes
The 18th century Plough Inn in the village is a good choice for post walk refreshment. They do a lovely Sunday lunch which you can enjoy in the fine garden area on warmer days. Inside there's a charming interior with low ceilings and nooks and crannies. You can find them on the Green at postcode B46 2AN for your sat navs.
Dog Walking
The lakeside path is ideal for dogs so you're bound to see other owners on a fine day. The Plough Inn mentioned above is also dog friendly.
Further Information and Other Local Ideas
The Coleshill Walk visits the reservoir from the nearby town. It also stops off at the pretty Cole End Nature Reserve on the River Cole. The historic town is also a fine place for a stroll with a series of old coaching inns and a noteworthy 13th century church to investigate.
