National Cycle Route 169

5.9 miles (9.5 km)

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This pleasant traffic free Sustrans cycle route runs north to south through Scunthorpe, passing through open green spaces with scenic views of the Trent Valley. It was created to connect local communities, improving access to schools, shops, and workplaces for everyday travel.
The Ridgeway serves as a central route through Scunthorpe, stretching from Manor Park in the south to Normanby Hall Country Park in the north. Future plans aim to extend the route to the nearby village of Winterton. It is locally known as the Scunthorpe Ridgeway.
You can continue your cycling along the Isle of Axholme Greenway which starts just to the west of the route around Berkeley.
