Aberdour to Burntisland Coastal Path

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk takes you along a section of the Fife Coastal Path from Aberdour to Burntisland.
It runs for a distance of about 3.5 miles along a fairly flat path. Along the way there's fine views of the Forth of Leith and the city of Edinburgh.
Ther walk starts in Aberdour where you can pick up the waymarked footpath and follow it east past the harbour to Hawkcraig Point. You continue along the beach and Silversands Bay to Bendameer House and Carron Habrou before coming into Burntisland.
To extend the walk pick up the Dalgety Bay to Aberdour Coastal Path Walk and continue to the lovely Dalgety Bay and the ancient St Bridget's Church.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas

In nearby Elie there's the exhilarating Elie and Earlsferry Chain Walk to try. This challenging scramble takes you along rocky path with fascinating geology and fine coastal views.
Just to the north east of Burntisland there's some nice trails around the tranquil Kinghorn Loch. The scenic spot is a good place to look out for wildlife from the on site bird hide.
