The property is owned by the National Trust and boasts an Orangery, an Italian garden with fountains, a maze, a deer park and several delightful lakes and ponds.
The house has been described as the most complete example of a typical English country house belonging to the Brownlow and Cust family for 300 years.
Belton house is located just to the north of the town of Grantham. You can extend your walking in the area by picking up the Grantham Canal and enjoying an easy waterside stroll through the county.

The on site Stables cafe serves a good range of meals, snacks and cakes.
Dog Walking
The expansive parkland on the estate is ideal for dog walking so you'll probably see plenty of other owners on your visit. You are asked to keep them on a lead as there are sheep grazing around the estate. The cafe mentioned above is also dog friendly.
Please note only assistance dogs are allowed inside the house itself.

Lakeside Boathouse
Formal Garden. This area of Belton's gardens is situated directly behind the house and its formal layout is designed to be seen at its best by the elevated view from the house itself.
Courtyard. The eastern side of the courtyard is formed by this building with its grand clock tower. The clock face overlooks the stable yard behind the building. Beneath the clock tower is the passage leading to the stable yard.
St. Peter and St. Paul Church. The house's fine gardens make a splendid foreground to this view of Belton's parish church.
