The park is located on the site of the old Clock Face Colliery. It's been converted into a lovely open space with pleasant footpaths, a picturesque pond and picnic areas.
The park is linked with the Sutton Manor Park which lies just to the west. You can easily extend the walk by visiting the park where you'll find the photogenic Dream Sculpture and more nice trails.
If you'd like to continue your walking in the area you could head a couple of miles north to Colliers Moss Common. This former industrial site has been converted into a tranquil green space with woods, lagoons and lots of wildlife to see.

To the south east there's the picturesque Moore Nature Reserve. It's a lovely place for a walk with lakes, peaceful woodland and attractive meadows to explore. The reserve is also great for wildlife with a wide range of birds to look out for on the water. You can find them on the south western side of Warrington, next to the Manchester Ship Canal at postcode WA4 6XE for your sat navs.

Pond in the park. This is part of Clock Face Country Park and used to be the site of Clock Face Colliery. According to the 1940's OS map this pond has always been around and has now been incorporated into this little country park. Hats off to those who are returning once industrial land back to the public and nature.
