Cwmcarn Forest Walks and Mountain Biking
This large country park has miles of fantastic walking and cycling trails to explore. There are 2 fabulous singletrack mountain bike trails with testing climbs, swooping descents and demanding technical sections. There are 6 walks of varying lengths and difficulty - more information can be found from the visitor centre.
The route below starts at the visitor centre and follows a series of peaceful woodland trails through the park.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas
The well known local peak of Twmbarlwm lies within the forest. You can climb to the hill summit from the visitor centre and explore an Iron Age hillfort while enjoying wonderful views over South Wales to the Bristol Channel.
The epic Cambrian Way passes the forest. The long distance waymarked route runs for nearly 300 miles through the Brecon Beacons, the Cambrian Mountains and Snowdonia before finishing on the North Wales coast at Conwy.
