Falmouth to Swanpool and Maenporth Walk

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk visits some of the local highlights near the Cornish town of Falmouth.
On the route you will visit the 16th century Pendennis Castle before heading to the lovely Swanpool Nature Reserve which lies just to the west of the town. The walk then continues along the coast path to Pennance Point and the lovely beach at Maenporth. It's a delighful cove with fine views of the estuary of the River Fal and the lighthouse on St Anthony Head.
You can extend the walk by continuing west to visit the beautiful Glendurgan Garden. The National Trust owned site includes tranquil ponds, pretty streams, orchards, exotic trees and a wonderful cherry laurel maze.
