Glenfarg Tunnels Walk
This walk takes you through the Glenfarg Tunnels, a pair of disused railway tunnels in Perthshire. Located just north east of Glenfarg village, you can follow the old railway line, now overgrown but accessible to walkers. The first tunnel, approximately 500 metres long, is dark and requires a torch for safe passage. Emerging into open countryside, the path leads to the second tunnel, slightly shorter but equally atmospheric. The walk is relatively flat, offering a fascinating glimpse into Scotland’s industrial past and opportunities to spot wildlife reclaiming the area.
You can continue your walking in the area by heading west to visit the Glenfarg Reservoir.
