Jorvic Way
A circular walk through the countryside surrounding the city of York. Starting at Tadcaster the walk visits the 18th century Beningbrough Hall and Park (video below), Wheldrake, Esrick and Bolton Percy. The route also visits Marston Moor, Hagg Wood, the confluence of the Rivers Nidd and Ouse at Moor Monkton and the Moorlands Nature Reserve.
There are also long riverside sections along the River Great Ouse and the River Derwent near Dunnington.

Near Hagg Wood you could stop in the pretty village of Dunnington and enjoy refreshments at the Cross Keys pub. The pub does very good food and also has a nice outdoor seating area which is the ideal place to relax in on finer days. You can find it on 3 Common Rd at a postcode of YO19 5NG for your sat navs.
