Midleton To Youghal Greenway
This shared cycling and walking trail follows the opening section of the Midleton To Youghal Greenway in East Cork.
The Greenway runs along an old railway line and will eventually go all the way to Youghal on the coast. This completed section (as of 2024) starts from Midleton station and runs east to Mogeely for a distance of 8km.
You can continue your walking by picking up the Youghal Beach Boardwalk.

To continue your walking in the area you could pick up the popular Knockadoon Cliff Walk near Youghal. Here you can enjoy fine views of Capel Island from Knockadoon Head.

Mogeely railway station (site), County Cork. Opened in 1860 by the Cork & Youghal Railway, later part of the Great Southern & Western Railway, this station closed to regular passenger traffic in 1963, and completely in 1982. View west towards Midleton and Cork. The line from Cork to Midleton was reopened in 2009 but there seems little prospect of it being extended further east.
