Youghal Beach Boardwalk Walk
This fine coastal walk takes you along the long beach in the town of Youghal in County Cork.
The walk includes a lovely long boardwalk which runs for nearly 2km connecting the 3 beaches of Youghal. You'll visit Front Strand Beach, Claycastle Beach and Redbarn Beach with some fine sea views to enjoy along the way.
To continue your walking in the area you could pick up the popular Knockadoon Cliff Walk just to the south of the town. Here you can enjoy more excellent views of Capel Island from Knockadoon Head.

To continue your coastal walking in Cork, head west to try the Ballycotton Cliff Walk. The popular coastal walk runs from Ballycotton village to Ballyandreen along a wonderful cliff top path.
Head east and you can pick up the Ardmore Cliff Walk. The route includes more fabulous coastal views and begins at the noteworthy Cliff Hotel which includes a Michelin starred restaurant.
To the west of the town you can pick up the first section of the Midleton To Youghal Greenway. The shared cycling and walking trail will eventually run all the way to Youghal along the old railway line.
