Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk takes you along the River Earn from Crieff to Comrie. Starting in the car park at MacRosty park in Crieff you first head west along the lovely Lady Mary's Walk.
The trail follows a peaceful riverside path where you can enjoy views of the gently flowing River Earn framed by lush greenery. You'll also follow the trackbed of the old Crieff to Comrie Railway for part of the walk.
As you continue westward, the scenery opens up to views of rolling hills and the wider valley.
Approaching Comrie, the landscape becomes more rugged with glimpses of the surrounding hills and a sense of tranquillity that makes this stretch particularly rewarding. The area is known for its abundant birdlife, so keep an eye out for kingfishers darting across the water and herons wading near the riverbanks. Songbirds such as robins and thrushes add to the woodland chorus. The surrounding trees include mature beech, oak, and sycamore, providing a vibrant canopy of colours, particularly in autumn.
