National Cycle Route 403 - North Wessex Downs

This signed Sustrans Route runs from Melksham to Savernake Forest in Wiltshire.
Starting just outside Melksham the route heads through the North Wessex Downs countryside to Chippenham, Calne, Averbury and Malborough. You then pass along the peaceful woodland trails in Savernake Forest before finishing at Great Bedwyn on the Kennet and Avon Canal.
The route includes several traffic free sections including the popular Chippenham to Calne Railway Path.
The route links with National Cycle Route 4 and the Wiltshire Cycleway to Salisbury.
