Tweed Valley Railway Path
This shared cycling and walking trail runs along a disused railway line from Innerleithen to Peebles in the Scottish Borders.
It's a nice easy route suitable for families or anyone looking for a safe, easy cycle or walk. On the way you'll pass Cardrona and Glentress Forest where there are cycle hire facilities. There's also some nice views of the River Tweed and the surrounding countryside to enjoy.
The route runs for about 6 miles along the old Peebles Railway which was closed in 1962.
The route makes up part of the Tweed Cycleway, a long distance cycle route running from Berwick-Upon-Tweed to Biggar. You could extend your ride along the trail by heading west to Biggar or east to Galashiels.
