Castle Naze
This walk visits an elevated fort near Chapel en le Frith in the White Peak area of the Peak District.
You can start the walk from the parking area on Cowlow Lane. From here you can pick up footpaths heading south to the Promontory fort on Combs Edge. There's great views here down to Combs Reservoir and across to the Peak District Fells. There's also some wonderful rock formations and steep cliffs which are popular with rock climbers.
The walk could also be started from Chapel en le Frith rail station which lies just to the north of the parking area. Footpaths can be followed south from here to the site.
