Crick Canal Walk
This Northamptonshire based village is located near Rugby in the western part of the county.
The Leicester Line of the Grand Union Canal passes the village providing an opportunity for some easy waterside walking through the area.
This walk from Crick takes you along the canal to Welford where you can link up with the Welford Arm of the canal and visit the nearby Stanford Reservoir. It's a pleasant section of the canal with fine views of the surrounding Northamptonshire countryside and a series of old bridges to see.
The walk starts at the lovely Crick Wharf where there's lots of boats to see at the marina. From here you follow the towpath north past Yelvertoft marina and Elkington. You continue past the Hemplow Hills and South Kilworth where you link up with the Welford Arm of the canal. Follow this east and it will take you into the pretty village of Welford where the route finishes.
