Murton Pike
This walk climbs to Murton Pike from the village of Murton in in the Eden District of Cumbria.
Start the walk in the little village of Murton at the Murton Fell car park at 1 Bank Barn. You can then follow country lanes and footpaths north east to Sweety Briggs. You continue east past Cringley Hole and Moley Hill before bending round to the west to climb to the summit of Murton Pike. The hill stands at a height of 594 metres (1,949 ft) commanding fine views over the North Pennines and the Eden Valley below.

Head north and you could pick up the circular High Cup Nick Walk and visit a spectacular glacial valley. The popular climb to Dufton Pike can also be picked up to the north.
Just to the east you can try the climb to Mickle Fell. The fell is significant as being the highest point within the historic county of Yorkshire and the highest point within County Durham.
