War memorial with the Parish Church of All Saints. This Grade I listed church was built on the site of an earlier 7th century church. The current church was commissioned by Bishop Thomas Hatfield of Durham and dates from the 12th century with parts from the 13th, 14th and 15th centuries.
The Golden Lion Hotel, Northallerton. The main hotel in the town. One of the North's major coaching and posting inns during the Stage Coach era. Stabling existed for seventy five horses and famous coaches arrived daily. It was reconstructed in the 1730s, but medieval stone, an old well and Tudor brickwork found in the subsequent alterations suggest a much older inn on the site. F
