Pubs/Cafes

The on site Courtyard Coffee Shop is the ideal place to relax for refreshments after your exercise. There are also picnic areas if you wish to bring your own food with you.

Dog Walking

The expansive parkland and woodland makes for a fine dog walk, though you are asked to keep them on leads. Bins are dotted around the estate.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas

To continue your walking in the area just head a mile south of the park to visit Sherwood Forest Country Park. Here you'll find miles of waymarked cycling and walking trails with a decent visitor centre and cafe. You could pick up the Robin Hood Way which runs to the north of the estate. This long distance waymarked footpath will take you to the forest.
Just to the north there's the popular Clumber Park. The National Trust run property includes over 3,800 acres of woodland, open heath and rolling farmland.
Just to the south east is the International Outdoor Adventure Activity Centre at Walesby Forest and the worthy village of Laxton. It's a historic place and significant as being England’s Last Open Field Village. You can visit the 12th century church, the Norman Motte and find out all about the area's history in the local visitor centre.
