Findhorn viaducts. The Findhorn Viaducts, a striking feature of the area, were constructed in the 1890s to carry the Highland Main Line railway across the River Findhorn. They are an excellent example of Victorian engineering and offer a dramatic backdrop to the landscape. The viaducts also provide great photo opportunities, especially when viewed from the riverside trails.
River Findhorn at Tomatin. The River Findhorn itself adds to the charm of the area, flowing through steep-sided gorges and wide valleys. Along its banks, you can spot various species of birds, including dippers, grey wagtails, and herons. The surrounding countryside is home to deer, red squirrels, and occasionally pine martens, while the woodlands support a variety of flora, including Scots pine, rowan, and heather.
