It's an attractive and interesting place for a walk with the impressive Findhorn Viaducts over the River Findhorn and some fine countryside views. There's a pleasant country lane you can pick up in the village and follow around the viaducts.
The walk offers peaceful rural scenery, with the distant Cairngorm Mountains visible on clear days. The landscape changes with the seasons, providing bursts of colour in autumn from the deciduous woodlands, while spring and summer bring wildflowers and an abundance of bird activity. The area is also known for its fresh Highland air and tranquil atmosphere, making it a perfect retreat for walkers.
To continue your walking in the area you could head south to pick up the waterside trails along Loch Vaa.

Findhorn viaducts

Findhorn viaducts. The Findhorn Viaducts, a striking feature of the area, were constructed in the 1890s to carry the Highland Main Line railway across the River Findhorn. They are an excellent example of Victorian engineering and offer a dramatic backdrop to the landscape.
