Derby Walks
This major city in Derbyshire has some nice local parks and riverside walks along the River Derwent.
This walk in the city takes you along the river to visit Alvaston Park where there is a picturesque lake and Science Garden to explore.
Other local walking highlights include the historic Darley Abbey Park, Kedleston Hall and Allestree Park which lie just to the north of the city centre. These parks include some well laid out footpaths and are ideal locations for walking in the area.
The Bonnie Prince Charlie Walk long distance footpath also passes through the city. It's a great way to explore the local countryside on a good waymarked path.
