Calderglen Country Park
Follow the Rotten Calder River through this lovely country park in East Kilbride. There is a delightful riverside path passing through a scenic wooded glen forged out by the river. There are numerous pretty waterfalls along the path, woodland wildflowers and important geological features. Cyclists can also use the trails in the park but please beware of other users.
The park also has a number of attractions including a children's zoo, tropical glasshouse, ornamental gardens, nature trails, adventure & toddler Play areas, Gift shop, Cafe, exhibition gallery and a Golf Course.

The park has a courtyard cafe selling a good range of meals and snacks.
Dog Walking
The woodland and river trails are ideal for dog walking so you'll probably see plenty of other owners on your visit. There are lots of off lead areas and bins provided too. The on site cafe is also dog friendly.

Head east from the park and you can visit Strathclyde Country Park and Chatelherault Country Park where there are more lovely riverside walks. You can also pick up the Clyde Walkway near here and enjoy cycling or walking along the Clyde River to the photogenic ruins of the 13th century Bothwell Castle.
