Caledonian Cycleway - Dumfries to Moffat

This waymarked cycle route runs from Dumfries to Beattock near Moffat.
Starting in Dumfries you head north to Locharbriggs before coming to the expansive Ae Forest. The forest includes miles of walking and mountain bike trails.
After passing through the forest you continue to Beattock, a few miles south of Moffat. On the way you can also enjoy some fine views of the surrounding hills and countryside.
This route is not to be confused with the longer Caledonia Way. The first part of the trail runs along the Kirkpatrick C2C so you could extend your ride along the popular coast to coast route.
