The walk starts in the town and follows Martin Lane north west through the countryside to reach the woods. Here you can follow a number of tracks through the peaceful woods and look out for a variety of flora and fauna.
You can continue your walking in the area by heading north to pick up the Doncaster Circular Walk at neighbouring Rossington.

Pubs/Cafes

The Ship is a nice place for some post walk refreshments. They serve good quality home-cooked food at reasonable prices. There is also a garden area to sit out in on warmer days. You can find them on Gainsborough Road at postcode DN10 6HT.

The woods are a fine place for a dog walk. The Ship mentioned above is also dog friendly.
