Creech St Michael Canal Walk
This walk takes you along a pleasant section of the Bridgwater and Taunton Canal from Creech St Michael to Maunsel Lock at St Micheal Church.
There is a public car park by the canal at the village of Creech St Michael where you can start the walk. Follow the canal east and it will take you along the Somerset Space Walk where you can look out for the interesting models of the solar system. The walk visits at the lovely Maunsel Locks where there is a tea room for post walk refreshment.

Canal at Creech St Michael. The Bridgwater & Taunton Canal provides a picturesque route through the village for pleasure boats, and the towpath is open to pedestrians and cyclists. There are also dramatic remains of the Chard Canal, including the (filled) junction with the Bridgwater & Taunton Canal, a raised embankment leading south from the village, a ruined aqueduct that would have carried the canal over the River Tone, and the abutments of a second aqueduct across a local road.
