Frodsham Marsh and River Weaver Circular Walk
This circular walk explores Frodsham Marsh and the River Weaver in the Cheshire town of Frodsham.
The walk starts off in the town centre near to the train station. From here you can follow roads north east towards the river where you'll find some pleasant riverside trails. These will lead you into Frodsham Marsh where you'll encounter lagoons, streams and reed beds that are home to various bird species. Look out for Owls, Osprey, Hobby, Common Sandpiper, Common Chiffchaff, Eurasian Teal & Wigeon and Black-tailed Godwits.
The route links up with the Weaver Way, a long distance route that runs along the river to Audlem.
To continue your walking in the area try the popular climb to Frodsham Hill where you can enjoy some excellent views over the area.
