Gait Barrows Walk

Ordnance Survey Map Open Streetmap This walk visits the Gait Barrows National Nature Reserve near Arnside in Cumbria.
The walk starts from the public car park just to the north of the reserve. From here you can follow footpaths south to the pretty Hawes Water and then around the reserve. Here you will find boardwalks and trails taking you around the splendid limestone pavement in the site. There's also yew woodland and a wide variety of interesting plants and wildlife to see here.
You can continue your walking in the area by heading west to visit the popular Arnside Knott and Eaves Wood.
