This route takes you through the Gap of Mamore in Urris�- a scenic valley located to the west of the parish of�Clonmany, in�County Donegal.
In the Gap you will find a narrow, quiet road suitable for both walking and cycling. The trail will take you past Mamore Hill to the coast at Dunaff Bay on the stunning Inishowen Peninsula, the largest peninsula on the�island of Ireland. The route then continues east to finish at Rockstown Bay.
To extend your outing heading north to visit Malin Head, the most northerly point�of mainland�Ireland. The scenic spot is also well known as a filming location for the Star Wars movies.

Further Information and Other Local Ideas

In nearby Londonderry you can try the popular Derry Walls Walk which takes you along the top of the historic ramparts.
To the south there's the lovely Inch Island in Lough Swilly. Here you can try the loop walk at the Inch Wildfowl Reserve and look out for a wide variety of wildlife on the water.
Head east and you could pick up the Moville Shore Walk. This fine coastal walk takes you from Moville to Greencastle with glorious views across Lough Foyle to enjoy on the way.
